If you have thick hair, ionic hair dryer could cuts the drying time in half and makes this whole process easier. You can also get a decent one for $20-30, no need to spend over $100 on it. For a blow dryer or hair straightener, these only work if you have relatively thin hair. At least in my experience. :)

There is a kind of hairdryer that straighten your hair while drying. If you have fairly thin hair it would works much better.

Yeah I used to have one you probobly can find on in the same place where the hair straighteners/curling irons/ and blow dryers are.
