Better than CHI Reviewer: cindylou from TX Wed Aug 29 2007
my daughter has the thickest hair I have ever seen on a human & I was very leary to buy this product because I was not familiar with it. my daughters have 3-CHI straight irons in the house but she wanted her own & was a little short on money for a CHI so we went with this one do to the rave reviews & I am here to tell you it works better than the CHI does on her VERY thick coarse hair thank you & I would highly recommend this product to everyone & the price is so much better....
I LOVE MY CHI ;) Reviewer: Maria from Toronto, Ontario CANADA Fri Nov 07 2008
I recently purchased my second Chi straightener after dropping my very first beloved Chi causing one of the plates to come loose :(
I used to straighten my extremely curly, thick hair with a clothes iron on the ironing board!!! It was the only way to ever get my hair straight! My parents finally caved about 5 years ago and got me a Chi for Christmas...
The BEST hair straightener I have EVER used... hands down.
does the job, but damaged my hair Reviewer: Melody from Houston, TX Wed Jan 23 2008
It does the job as a flat iron, but damaged my hair pretty quickly. I had very healthy hair before and got upset when I found my hair dry and damaged. I stopped using it. Having healthy hair is more important to me.
About Solia:
better than the chi Reviewer: Wendy MAzzant from Ellwood city, PA Thu Jan 20 2005
I am a hair stylist and have bought a lot of junk, And have used the best . Until i decided to check out flat irons on the net. I come across the Solia. I was not sure if i wanted the Chi or the Solia Iron, so i started to read the reviews. They all sounded very good so i decided to go with Solia. I have used the Chi before. So i have seen what it can do, It was a "good" iron , but i would never own anything else. It blows the Chi away. I have only owned my Solia iron for 3 weeks and have already sold people on them. They bought one. I , as a stylist recommend this iron for all hair textures, legnths, and densities. The is no job too big for this thing.
Great choice! Reviewer: Jenn from Georgia Sun Dec 28 2008
I had an FHI, which pulled my hair, and had no temp control....hated it! So, I got this iron, and have been using it for about 2 weeks now. I LOVE IT! It heats up very quickly, and 1 pass of your hair sections will do the trick. No pulling, or ripped out strands. My hair is smooth & silky, and doesn't immediately curl up in humid weather (which we have plenty of here in GA). Best investment I've made in a hair styling product.
Pretty Good Reviewer: cat from nj Sat Apr 12 2008
This is only the second flat iron I have purchased. It is much faster and easier than the Maxi-Glide. I didn't buy the Chi because I knew at least two people who had issues within the 1st year. Anyway, my daughters hair is extremely course and frizzy. It works good. Her hair stays straight for the day but does tend to get the curl back by the evening. She does use product but her hair is extremely difficult. I would most likely buy the same one again.
