I had a Chi turbo 2” which worked amazingly on my thick, long hair but broke down 1 year ago. They no longer make this model so I got the 1 1/2” for replacement. Using it for several months, I could get my hair straightened quite smoothly but I still miss I my old 2”. Compared with the old 2”, it heats up faster, reaches the temperature you set in seconds. But when you hold it up to run it through your hair, it began to drop 50-100+ degrees! The first time of use I was shocked watching the thermometer. Then you had to set up the temperature again and wait. It’s weird I think it should be a design defect or something. Later I learnt to set 50 degrees higher than my required temperature for heat up. And I don't like that the on/off button is on top of the iron, instead of on the side like the old 2” model. I often accidentally turn the iron off...apart from that, it works not bad, to be honest. CHI always has the smoothest plates I think, so with this turbo 1.5”. the result is shinny and soft and sleek. Just hope it could be more properly designed.

This CHI TURBO flat iron has excellent performance. I've tried some 5 flat irons on my kinky hair, this one does the best job, it doesn't burn hair and cause no split ends, but leaves hair shiny and amazingly straight. I love it & highly recommend!

MY DAUGHTER BOUGHT THIS CHI FLAT IRON, I USED IT LIKE 5 TIMES SO FAR, IT MADE SO BEAUTIFUL STRAIGHT HAIR TO ME, I LOVE THE SHINE AND LOVE THIS CHI FLAT IRON!

The chi flat iron is one of the best flat irons I have ever purchased. It heats up quickly and makes hair feel smooth and silky without causing damage. And its design is very thoughtful. I never worried to turn it off by accident during styling because the buttons are set inside.

MY DAUGHTER ASKED ME TO BUY THIS CHI FLAT IRON FOR HER AND I WAS SURPRISED BY THE PRICE, I HAD NEVER THOUGHT A FLAT IRON COULD COST 150 BUCKS(I HAD NEVER USED FLAT IRON IN MY LIFE BEFORE). HOWEVER, I BOUGHT IT AT LAST AND MY DAUGHTER GOT HER FLAT IRON. BUT IT'S NOT THE END, SHE INSISTED ON TRYING IT ON MY CURLY HAIR, I GAVE IN AND LET SHE DID THE FLATTENING ON MY HAIR. I WAS SURPRISED AGAIN THAT THE RESULT WAS AMAZING, HAIR IS SO STRAIGHT SO SMOOTH AND WITH HEALTHY SHINE ON IT. I LOVE MY CURLY HAIR VERY MUCH IN MY LIFE, BUT NOW I ALSO LOVE THE STRAIGHT HAIR FLATTENED BY THIS CHI FLAT IRON.

My chi turbo flat iron stopped working after I dropped it on the floor by accident. I even don't know where I can fix it. Bad luck.

This CHI flat iron is my favorite hair tool, I got it after my GHD flat iron died 4 months before. GHD was good in those about 3 years, but I still don't know why it stopped working suddenly. Compared with the last GHD, this CHI flat iron is cheaper but has bigger plates, it allows faster straightening on my long hair, though the result is same shiny and smooth. I just hope for a long lasting use with this CHI flat iron!
