Choose a Curling Iron for Long Thick Hair

Posted by Kmm, Oct 16th, 2008

Choose a 2 inch curling iron would be most suitable for long, thick hair. It's is also much more versatile and easy to control.

Q: I have long, thick hair. If I wanted to get a curling iron for big curls, how many inches on the iron should i get?

A: A 2 inch one would be most suitable for your hair. Keep in mind that don't hold curls long if you want them to be a bit looser and they won't be small and tight. If your curling iron is too larger (3 inch or bigger), you will have to hold the curl for extremely long (causing damage), it will be difficult to wind, and you will likely end up with just a flip up rather than curl. 2 inch curling iron is also much more versatile and easy to control.
