Choose a Hair Curler for Long Thin Naturally Straight Hair

Posted by guest, Oct 16th, 2008

Q: For my long, thin, flat, naturally straight hair, I'm looking for a curling iron that I can use to make soft curls, waves, etc with. What products could make the curls last all day for my hair? My hair needs to work really well, because it can barely hold any curls at all. What techniques really work?

A: All the curling irons are basically the same, no matter the brands or the features. That means the most expensive may not even be the best. However, you should probably get a curling iron with the the temperature adjust system (the higher the better).

For long and thin hair, use hair roller is a better way than curling iron. Apply leave in conditioner to the damp hair after washed your hair. Then put hair rollers into your hair and leave it like that overnight to dry. Then in the morning, you take out the rollers. Depending on how the curls looks then, you can dry the hair by a blow dryer to make it less curly or wave. Blow dry your hair upside down (blow at the roots) to create a more volumized look.

Here is another way by using a flat iron, just move it through your hair in the direction that you want it to curl and flow. Also, a larger curling iron is better to use along with it to make sure you get the desired look you are after. You can spray thermal styling spray on that helps hold the curl and also it is keeping your hair healthy.
