Clean Your Makeup Brushes Before Infections

Posted by guest, Sep 5th, 2006

It is important to wash your makeup brushes often. These applicators allow dirt and bacteria to gather, which could lead to rashes and eye infections.

However, careful cleaning can avoid you from embarking on any negative situations with your makeup.

First, run the bristles of your brush under warm water. Next, add a dime sized amount of shampoo onto the brush and work this into a lather. Then rinse the shampoo from the brush.

Note: the water is dirtied with the residue of old makeup. Rinse the brush until no color is leaving the brush. Then lay the brush on a towel to air-dry.

How often should you clean your makeup brushes?

It depends on the brush. Any brush you use on a liquid cosmetic should be cleaned everyday; such as, concealer, foundation, lip products and cream eye shadow. For other brushes We would recommend as often as once a week or at the least every two weeks.
