Makeup Kit
There is no set definition to describe what a makeup kit is. This is
because a makeup kit, and its contents are completely at the discretion
of the owner.
A make up kit can consist of a number
of items, some may choose a selection to comprise their kit of whilst
others may use all of the items. The kit can consist of items ranging
from cosmetics, to skin care to utensils required in order to apply all
of the ingredients. Each individual bases the contents of their kit on
their personal requirements.
They are the only people who understand what each item is required for.
Firstly,
the make up included in a kit includes foundation, eye shadow, eye
liner, blusher, lip stick, lip gloss, cover up and bronzer, to name but
a few. However, a basic kit may just include gloss, eye liner and
mascara.
This may be an option as a travel make up kit or an essential night out kit.
Secondly,
skin care items included in a makeup kit may include moisturizer,
toner, cleanser, make up remover, nail polish remover and face packs.
These
items are usually included in larger makeup kits that are not used to
take on a night out for example. This is because these items are
usually required when removing the make up or prior to applying it.
Thirdly,
utensils that may be included in a make up kit may include brushes,
tweezers, scissors, application pads, cotton wool balls and a mirror
for the perfect application.
These items are
again often used during the initial application of the make up and in a
basic make up kit the only items that may be essential is the brush of
pad for the application of blusher or powder.
Each
item is usually purchased individually as required and is placed in a
make up bag for storage and preservation purposes. However, many
cosmetic companies sell ready made up make up kits and this can often
reduce the cost. Examples of these include Yves Rocher, Bare Essential
and Lorac. Each company offers different styles of make up kits. |
