Hair roller is a credible tool to get curls for your hair. Compare with the hair tools, it could achieve the same curly hairstyle without/less hair damage. To get a curly hair, any kind of hair rollers is OK. But the rollers with velcro are the best, because they are easy to use.

Wash and condition your hair first, then dry it half way in leaving slight wet on the dry side. Get a spray bottle and fill it with water, the hair will be air dried, so you must to keep your hair damp for hair rollers. Ask someone to help you to put the rollers in your hair. Comb all of your hair up and over your head exposing your neck.

For the back:
Take your hair into small sections, starting at the neckline and put each hair roller across the bottom of your head, make sure the rollers are vertical across. When the rollers across the bottom of your head in a full line, the next row will be right above the row which across the bottom. Usually, there are about 2 or 3 rows of rollers in the back of your head.

For the top:
Now its time to roll the top of your hair. Section off the hair on the top of your head. Make sure the rollers stay vertical and in the same direction (put the rollers vertical can make spiral curls). Starting at the top of your head where right above the rollers in the back, take small hair sections and put roller across the top parts, not any of the sides. The next row of rollers will go right in front of the row you just finished do this until you reach your forehead. Usually, there are about 3 or 4 rows on the top of your head.

For the sides:
Starting above the ear, take small hair sections for the rollers until you have a full row. Put the next row on top of the one which starting at the ear. Usually, there are 2 rows on each side of your head. Don't left any gaps on the sides, if so, the rollers would not fit against your head. Make sure the rollers are be touched each other.

Now all of your hair should be in rollers. Spray some styling spray or finishing spray to get a light to medium hold. But don't make the rollers too wet with the spray, because the spray has to dry in 15minutes. Then spray all the rollers again. Next step, dry your hair by using a hair dryer, make sure your hair is absolutely dry before you take out the rollers. If you take out the rollers when the hair is not absolutely dry, the curl will sag and come apart easily.
