Hair Drying for Child's Hair

Posted by Kmm, Oct 21st, 2008

If you use it properly, the hair dryer would not be harmful for child's hair.

Wrap the child's hair in a towel for about 10 minutes. The dryer should not too high, warm is perfect. Keep the dryer moving and don't hold it on one section of child's head, or you would cause cause hot spots on the hair or scalp.

Conditioner and thermal protectant is always in good form because it protect the hair. If the dryer is too hot and held on one section, it can cause the cuticle to open. If you do this too much, you can cause breakage and friz. However, use conditioner to take the tiniest little bit and keep the hair dryer moving, don't let it sit on one spot, you should see no change in the condition of your child's hair.
