Is it better to air dry your hair or dry it with a hair dryer?

Posted by guest on Tue, Oct 28th, 2008
I usually dry my hair with a hair dryer, but my friend dry her hair by hair dry. I was just wondering which was better for your hair. Thanks for the answer! :)

Air drying is better. The blow dryer can dry your hair out to the point of breakage and cause some serious split ends. Your best bet would be to partially do one and then finish up with the other. Blow dry it a bit and let if air dry the rest of the way if you're in a crunch for time.

I avoid using a hairdryer as much as possible because my hair is quite damaged from all the dye I use. I try and put as much moisture in with leave-in conditioners, anti-frizz products, etc. Using hairdryers, straighteners and curling tongs will cause damage to your hair so you should try not to use them too much. When you can you should let it dry naturally

Air dry.
It's better because it's a natural way of drying your hair.
And blow drying it, can really damage it, especially if you do it everyday.
But you still can do it once in awhile.

But, if you're just lounging around at home and have fine hair, let it air dry all the way through. I usually let my hair air dry over night then I'll blow dry it the rest becuase my hair's so thick it'll never completely air dry in a day or two.
