Generally speaking, the cuticles of damaged hair are cracked, roughened, chipped or worn off. The hair is dry, brittle, rough to the touch and susceptible to breakage easily. Some of the most common external reasons for hair damage include:
1. Bleaching, dyeing, perming and straightening the hair frequently;
2. Washing the hair too frequently;
3. Rubbing the hair vigorously;
4. Using hair dryers and other styling tools too frequently;
5. Use of wrong or unsuitable products or methods to style the hair;
6. Harsh rays of the sun;
7. Chemicals and pollutants in water;
During blowing drying, prolonged and frequent exposure to heat may cause some damage to your hair. Here is a method: start out with a hair dryer, then using an electric fan or cool setting to dry the rest parts when the hair halfway dried (hair is still damp).
For hair dryer, don't use it too close from the scalp and always apply conditioner after shampoo. Apply mousse to protect hair while you style it. Deep conditioning treatment at least once a month-keeps hair shiny. Have a trim every 4-5 weeks to keep the ends tidy.
