Posted by Kmm, Oct 14th, 2008

The black build-up adheres onto the straightener over time due to the high heat when we straightening the hair. It's Clean necessary to clean it.

Q:My Remington ceramic hair straightener has a black build-up on the plates – is there a way to remove this?

A:This is caused by a build-up of product. When we doing a straightening treatment with a ceramic hair straightener, the black build-up adheres onto the straightener over time due to the high heat.

Clean the hair straightener becomes necessary. Disconnect the straightener from the power outlet, make sure it to cool, then use a soft damp cloth to wipe the exterior surface and the plates. Do not immerse the straightener in any liquid. Do not use an abrasive cleaning fluid or material to clean the plates as this will scratch the surface.
