Should I get bangs for my long thin hair?

Posted by sane on Fri, Oct 24th, 2008

I have long straight hair, it comes down to about my bra line. The hair has some natural curl and one layer at my shoulders. I usually either flat iron my hair or use the blow dryer.

Now I want to get some kind of bangs, but the hair where in the front around my forehead is very thin, so i don't know how bangs will work. Will they help hide the hairline or just not work. I am thinking of side swept bangs or something like that.

What do you suggest???? Thanks for your answers :)

I think you'd better get ome side cut bangs. I think it looks adorable.

It is totally worth it, your money that is. Just make sure you go to a good hair stylist!!!!

I say bangs! I think the weight of your long hair is the reason why causing your "thinning" hair in front.Do you pull your hair into a ponytail? Or up in a clip? The ponytail or up clip creates more "pull" and weights down your hair causing it to break and appear thin. Just remember to use good quality, deep conditioning treatments on your hair.Flat irons can dry your hair out! And consider getting a scalp treatment from a pro.Good luck!
